Replying to HELP!! I need a vidoe camera

well I tried the search bar, but didn't get all the help I was looking for. I want to get a solid minDV camera with good resolution for the ceapest price possible. My buddy already has a GL1 so I was hoping to get something smaller and more in-expensive like a panasonic 3ccd camera or possibley the canon or sony single CCD cameras. Can someone give me some good honest feedback on getting the best camera possible for around $500-$600, no more. I was hoping to only spend around $400 on ebay. If any one has anything for sale that fits these perameters that would be legit too. I am a broke ass college kid so don't tell me to spend the extra 2 grand and buy a sony 2100 or gl-2.
