The Chronic is a strong all mtn/park ski. It has been consistently good for the last two years, even through lines move to china. The chronic in a 157 should be good for him. It is light, durable, and all around very fun to ski.

Plus, the invader is crap. We all know that.

The Scratch are another possibility, but are less stiff than the chrons, and so a little less fun all mtn, in my opinion ( I own both).
Don't buy dynastar. The skis are crap, and the edges destruct like none other.

Sounds like a steal. The binders are a bit sketchy though.

Actually it makes since that it's crap. In my opinion a park ski is only meant to last one season before it becomes a urban/rock ski. The invader is cheap so people keep buying them, and even though they are shit at the end of the season, they aren't a very big investment.
