to be honest you don't really need the booster strap. Take the strap currently on the boot and tighten it on the inside of the plastic shell, but on the outside of the booliner. Make sure you tighten really well. You have to obviously tighten the strap before the plastic buckles. This is the best way to get the books to huge your shins and eliminte shin bang. hope that makes sense.
Maybe I didnt ask right; I was wondering how people installed them on their salomon 1080s, becuase the original strap doesnt screw in, instead it is like bolted in with shit.
I am in your shoes exactly, I first do the booster from the back cuff under the ankle buckel shell around the tounge, I buckle my boots and then do solly strap over ankle buckle shell and then tighten. Watch out though, i have had my straps too tight and that can make you feel out of control. I have seen people do it many different ways, under ankle buckle shell and over but gotta keep back on cuff.
Take them to a shop and get them to rivet or t-bolt them in eplacement of the stock power strap. I did it to my friend's Pro Model boot, it should cost you about $10.
