bombers if you have the cash, voile hardwires 3pin if you don't. Just try and be really centered when you land, it's all about how you come down. Having centermounted skis is super helpful.
dont lean really far back. thats stupid. your weights going to be really fucked and wierd. stay centered. its a common belief that if you dont lean back on switch tele landings, your effed. but its not so. i just started doing 1s last weekend and you just gotta stay centered. center, not back. i had a couple times a dragged my hand towards my tip, but as long as you have good balance, you should be fine. i rode out somewhat clean.
as far as bindings go, which was the original point of the post haha, definitly go with bombers if you got the cash. theyll last you so long and they keep your heel and your ski close while in the air. this helps alot, specially coming in switch. powerful binding, solid parallel turns...although i see no reason to make them haha. if you dont have the cash, which alot of us dont, try some karhu powers, those release which might be good for park. voile hardwires are good, either 3 pin or flat, 3 pin gives you more connection with your ski. linkens are powerful, just dont seem like good park bindings. G3's are great bindings, more all around. the targa is definitly all around, the T/9 which is what i have, is lighter and alot stronger. i do fine when im in the air and landing. but definitly not made for it. dont trust rottefella. dunno why. just dont. also dont trust the voile CRB. somethin about it...dunno. havnt tried em, dontplan on it. good lukc though.
G3's aren't that great for park. Like everyone else said, get Bomber Bishop's if you have the $$$. If not, I'd say Voile 3-pin hardwire is your next best choice. That's what I'm gonna be rockin' next year
yeah, G-3's are really probably one of the worst out there for park, I've seen a ton of their cables snap etc. And AKFreeride, while you don't have to lean back persay, it's a shitload further back than most people land on alpine skis, plus, on big spins it's alot easier to land too much on your noses than your tails. Just remember, the more forward your stance is on takeoff, the more wait you'll have on your heels when you land, which is basically what you want.
yeaa now that i think about it, alpiners do land more on their tails. i never landed switch when i alpined, so i dont really know. the only switch skiing iv known is tele.
