i think you should expand on the petition a little more... give suggestions and examples. My opinion is:
bmills should make the little so-called park that they have on peters pride into a beginners park with just that tiny 5 ft box and a small table.
Then they should designate and fence off about a third of north bowl to be the official terrain park. They could set up all their rails (flat rail, kink rail, rainbow box) in a straight line and actually build a decent jump or two. This way, youo could hit more than one feature ina run and not have to hike.
In the petition, you should also suggest they buy something new (they haven't bought anything in years). id like to see a nice flat down box.

I wrote them a 2 page article on how the park could be improved, profits be improved (what they care about) and a bunch of other things. Unfortunately it was beyond a complete waste of time and they never came close to actions. they act like they have the help even though they dont. thats why we all rolled down to snowtrails and made shit happen down there, even though we live up north. this shit gets me fired up. FUCK KENT GRAHAM

yeah, you just described bmbw perfectly too.
i want to go to snowtrails, but bmbw is much more convenient . i can ski probably 2-3 times more at bmbw. next year ill be able to drive though and im going to try to go to snowtrails on weekends, bmbw on weeknights.
does snowtrails have a deal where you can just get like 10 days of skiing at a discount price?

I go to Boston Mills. Kent Graham took my buddies pass because his ticket fell off, and they checked the computers and it showed that he bought one.

at the risk of sounding like a dick... while i agree BMBW's park could use tons of improvement, i didnt see alot of skier's killing it this year on the features they did have. when the 30' shotgun was set up urban style, i hardly saw anyone try it. when they had that same rail set up really tall then onto a down box i didnt see any skiers hitting it except jason long, his buddy( whose name i cant remember-fuck sorry dude) and my self. when they finally did build a decent jump at BM, most everyone was hitting the short take-off, and if they did hit the big side it was a straight air. maybe all the rippers have gone to snowtrails, but there was plenty of features to have fun at bmbw, if you had the skills to do them.

Your right... there wasnt that many people killing it at all at bmbw this year. I certaintly wasnt- this is my second year in the park and bmbw definately isnt a good learning enviroment for park. They did have some nice set ups occasionally like you said- the urban style rail (i didnt have the balls to try it- never hit an urban style rail before,) the flat to down was good ( i hit it a couple of times- never quite cleaned it though,) and that jump a bm was closed every time i went due to "safety reasons." The point is that bmbw either has nice features that are out of most people's leage that ski there because they dont have nice features often, badly-built features, or features that are stupid, tiny, ride-ons, etc. I guess what im trying to say is that they should set-up their features with a more wide range of difficulty. If bmbw just utilized their features wisely, then they could have a decent, well rounded park.
Next year, im going to try and put the shittiness behind me and try to progress more. I might not kill it, but hopefully ill get better.
sorry for the long post.

the point everyone has been stressing is set things up right so kids can hit the features easier and safer. We never petitioned to have a 10000ft tranfer gap over a flaming car or anything (well i am sure dingess has) anyways if they just understood that if things were setup properly, everyone would be happy, the insurance agent, the beginner rider to the advanced rider, even the greedy little troll that counts the money at the end of the day.

yup yup. i grew up ridin mills. i have ridden trails 2 years now exclusively, and i think if you ask anyone, i went from being pretty sub par (MAYBE a 540, rails etc etc) to, not to sound cocky, pretty damn decent. we always have shit set up good, so even bigger features are hittable. that was the most imediate thing i noticed when i started ridin there. and, trails always has at least some features hittable by begginers (still fun for the advanced riders), al the way up to big big stuff.
and yes, i too have written long, (3 pages) tedious essays and explanations to them, with exactly the same answer (were trying! or were working on it!). they truely, do not care wtf you think of the place. they pretty much catter to ski schools, and the sub par parks are to make them happy.
any yes, they do have some sick rails, and definatly the potential to build a killer killer park, but i wouldnt get my hopes up. they are jsut lame. mad river, well. dont even get me started on the potential that place has.
