i've come to understand that it was actually a german style helmet with a spike on the top used in the early WWI era. I don't really know tho

fuck that. freedom of expression, and speach. those teachers are violating the first amendment, one of the principles this country was founded on. I hate those people.

i don't think they can legally do that as long as there are no threats made towards faculty or students.

No No No, all you guys are wrong
a myspace is the feeling you get when you ate that hunk of raw fish, and now theres a pressure washer coming out of your orifices, and the toilet water is splashing all over your ass and you're thinking "aaaHRHGHHHHhh fucking myspace!"

do you go to like private boarding school or something? if not, that is way illegal if they make you delete them, and even if you do go to a private boarding school it is still probably way illegal. there is no way in hell they can do that shit. I would fight it.

Nah they are allowed to do this shit its a public website. My friend had a picture of himself in ceramics class fuckin around and pretending to smoke a solid fake bong. He almost got expelled for "promoting drug use"

uhhh ok....
i really dont think it is illegal for them to make u delete the pics....i mean while it is gay and stupid and a waste of time...it is not illegal...at least not in canada....u cant just take pics of ppl and post them everywhere...the people filmed or photographed always have to sign a release form (theoretically and legally) but ppl dont always follow that...in fact most ppl just dont follow such rules...but ya..still...that whole issue is stupid.

actually are u guys just plain stuid? ever seen cops? how they blurr faces?
you need permission to broadcast an identity IDIOTS.
so you cant just take a random pick of faculty and display it anywhere. you need the permission of that person first.
first amendment has nothing to do with this. yes u have freedom of speech, but this isnt speech.
identity is way differnt then speech, plus how the fuck are they finding you guys?
why use myspace like an emo fag at school? they are just tracing you everytime that web site is typed in.
learn that ur on a secure network while at school and leave it at home.

haha I'm glad i'm no american...i think this is where freedom stops.
anyways, this reminds me of a funny story that happened in my school...read it it'S worth it.
some years ago, me and my buddies designed a homepage for our class, including a place where u could post pics and a forum. u had to sign up first to read stuff and post pics. i had the last instance in giving the OK to a new member.
anyway, a teacher happened to signup and i didnt notice it. This wouldnt be too bad if there hadnt been a pupil writing stupid shit about exactly this one teacher..i'll try to translate it, but its not that easy. all in all he said that the teacher was drinkin piss and his hometown was full of rednecks and so on.
A few days later we heard from the directory that the persons in charge of the school-IT network were trying to find out who wrote that stuff and they wanted us to be afraid...
thanx god that i didnt save the ip's of the users, so nobody could be detected. They gave it up after a few weeks...but it was funny anyways.

yeah what i wanted to ask you american pupils: don't you think that your government and school try to find out things which are none of their business? i mean...if u do shit in school it's okay if u get busted/expelled, but MYSPACE? it's one of the most private things you have, right after your sould and individual thoughts :D
what are you waiting for? The school filtering your thoughts and expelling you for thinkin the wrong things? fight against it.

Ok, story time...it sort of relates to this.
One time a female friend was on this forum, saying how she had an affair with this one teacher (it was all in good fun, nothing too graphic)at my school. Well, someone on the message board went to the trouble of calling him, he read it, was extremely pissed, rumors flied about a lawsuit, etc etc. It was BAD. Myself and a few other got involved and wrote him apology letters, and nothing more happened than a cold shoulder for a few months.
It was horrible. She didn't even say his name or location, but it was implied. You just have to be careful what you say and who you say it about. I've heard Facebook and LiveJournal horror stories, so just be careful. Don't risk it...be careful what you post online.

amendments dont actually apply to you until you are 18 BTW, and were at war so our rights can be limited.

it doesnt matter, teachers cant make you delete myspace accounts. they can band you from going on myspace at school, and they can require you to take down pictures that involve them. that is all.

If your line of thought on this goes "Soul, individual thoughts, MYSPACE"... you've got some serious problems with your personal priorities.
