i see a lot of guys on here are clearly good with computers and have experience with filming etc. so i was wondering, how do you get video off the camera onto pc, do you need a program or something. i know you can buy a big machine which converts it all, but i was hoping there was another way. any ideas?

adobe premiere, pinnacle, movie maker (PC)
Final cut pro, Imovie (mac)
or even the software that should have came with your camera.

the software that came with the camera was shit. it always seems to convert into shitty mpegs and the quality goes crap.

then try one of those programs......or possible maybe your camera sucks too? but if it is a dv cam it should be at least okey.... try one of those other programs that guy listed.

get the cheapest program (windows movie maker) which actually might be on the computer, and it should tell you how to do it from there
