Different manufacturers Ski Lengths?

Hey
So im looking to get a ski around 175-179, (im about 5'11" 160, do about 50% park, 50% groomers/other so dont know if that sounds right..)
I think k2 measure some of their skis on running length, and some on total length - does anyone know which ones are measured which way?
had PE's and they were too stiff, so im looking at some fuji's or ar5's ( i know they are completely different skis..) and trying to decide what length to look at..
thanks - and any advice on ski choice would be great as well..

well i know my fujatives are exactly as the ski says, 179. Not sure about the others.
I love my fujis all around and the ski pretty well. I have never skied the Ar5 but it also looks like a solid ski and im thinking about getting a pair for all around and pipe, if i can afford it. Ar5 is alot stiffer though so makes it a better pipe ski. New Ar5's have 2.0mm edges like k2's so both will hold up well on rails.
There both sick skis so if i was you i'd just take the one you can find the best deal on.

well are they comparable (the fuji's and the ar5's)???
coz you can get 05-60 fujis for around US$180 whereas ar5's are minimum $310
if they are gonna ski the same (and regardless of graphics) then the fuji's are clearly the better deal..
thanks for the info.

i havent skied ither skis, but id gues the ar5 will ski better on piste, because of the crazy flex points on the fujas.....the fujas would be better in the park if your doing butters and the like...

It depends where u are going to mount them for ur size, if u mount them near center get a ski longer than u normally would i mounted a pair center and i wish i would have gone bigger, but u should definatley go for the ar5, fujis are too soft for 50/50 park and piste

Definitely go with the 180's for your height and weight, you won't regret it, especially if you mount them center or close to it you will want that extra length.
