Transfer case

Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to have a transfer case replaced? And I am specificly not saying what a transfer case is because if you need to ask then you have no idea.

Do it yourself. You could do it in an afternoon. The x-fer case itself will cost ya though. Disconnect the gear selecter (if there is one) the speedo wire and any other sensors, then disconnect the driveshaft (mark the position first) and any other mounting points. It will just slide outta the tranny, pussies use a jack, I just catch it.

Try to find a rebuilt one from a decent shop and trade your old one in as a core. Pathfinders are fairly common. Do you belong to any forums on the net for Pathfinder owners? The dealer will rape you for a new one.

Stick or automatic

if it is an automatice, yer fucked, around 500 to 400

if it is a stick, then yer still fucked, but a little less, like around 2 to 3 hundred
