I'm looking for basically an all around good car. Don't need something super fast or something super cool looking. Just good in snow, semi fuel efficient, and just gets me around. I like the idea of a SUV or wagon, but some sedans intrigue me. Right now I'm looking at:
Subaru WRX
Subaru Outback
Hyundia Santa Fe
Toyota Highlander
Honda CR-V
I like all of the cars, but I'm unsure of how the Hyundai or Honda performs in the snow. I knwo the Subarus and Toyotas perform well in most anything and Toyotas get awesome ratings. Any suggestions or preferences?Any of you drive any of these? What do you think?I'm kind of leaning towards the Hyundia or Toyota right now.

Eh. likely not going to.
My automobile plans are centered around a B5 ('96-99.5) particularily) Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. I would like to put her into the low 13's on a somewhat custom reliable setup that my friend has been working on.
The DSM is great don't get me wrong. but I'm outgrowing it.

i personally like small suv's like the pathfinder or the passport or rodeo, the subaru forester or outback would be a good car, i think i would rather have the outback than the forester, but both are all wheel drive so thy would be good in snow

GO Subaru, all the way. I got a 2000 Outback Sport in October last year, spent 10K, it had 43K miles. They're awesome in the snow...I work at a ski resort and drive a 10 mile road up and down everyday - the slide factor is zero. I'll swear by that car forever. Oh...and get a manual, none of that auto crap. Hope that helped a little!! :)
