Which one of the two currently is better? Park, Big Mountain, All Around?
Does anyone have park pics recently of each?

the problem with Stevens is that it is in the middle. Snoqualmie has better park, but no steeps. Stevens has an okay park and okay big mountain terrain. Alpental has no park and good big mountain terrain.

Not a fan of stevens personaly they riped me off last year, dont realy put any effort into their park. They do have some nice fun drops and natural hits that are hidden all over. Summit has a great park (central) and alpental has the great big mnt. I have even found a sweet line of untraked light powder there a week or so after the storm.

The summit has a fantastic park from what i have heard. Stevens used to be top in the park scene, about 2 yeras ago, but the summit has steped it up big time and has now completely taken over. Stevens has some great lines off of 7th heaven, tye mill, and the back side (especially the hiking, some great stuff), but if you want the best of both....go to Snoqualmie. Alpental is unriveled between the two for big mountain, their bc is AMAZING. The upper chair at alpental (chair 2) was rated 8th best in the nation on terrain accessed and snow quality a few years back. You could spend an entire day there and not care one bit about the park. But, when you do want the park, jsut head on over to central, there are shuttles, or it is about a 10 minute drive or so...

billy, it doesn't even matter for you, and stevens park is really fun right now, though it is true that they let the quality drop down most of the season. central has a quality park for sure, and west has in the past as well, though not as much this year. for park, stevens has the bigger jumps, while snoqualmie has the better rails are jibs (and pipe, no comparison on that one) what everyone else has said is true, the only big mountain at snoqualmie is alpental. stevens has some fun cliffs, though crystal and baker are the best for big mountain. as for baker, now that they in late season, and it's starting to warm up, they have a fun park with some good stuff, though this is onlyu true during the spring, the rest of the year baker doesn't spend any time on their park, and for good reason, they average the most snowfall in the world. there is plenty of good terrain withsteeps and cliffs inbounds, though if you really want to amp it up and get and actual big mountain experience bring the avy gear, find someone who knows the area and head to the backcountry.

stevens has better kickers i'd say but thats all they have on the summit, snoqualmies park is ridiculous and i love it, and alpental has some sick ass terrain, i pretty much only ride at the summit but thats prolly cuz i have a pass

Stevens is just a whole lot funner to ski, its got good terrain, which Snoqualmie mostly lacks. For park, Snoqualmie definently has it beat, but Stevens can put up some impressive shit if the park crew can get its stuff together. I ride Stevens backcountry too, and that is simply amazing. Crystal has it beat though in terms of BC.... So yeah, Stevens is a pretty good "Middle of the Road" resort. You can do anything you want on a given day, and while it doesnt have the best of Park or BC in WA, its still just a fun place to ski.

more fun...more fun...
Central, east and west lack the terrain, yes. but does alpental? only if you don't ride chair 2.
stevens, when i have been there, has never had there park crew in order. sonqualmie is amazing, and always consistent.
crystal BC does have both beat, anyone who argues otherwise is an idiot.
all in all, i think snoqualmie is my favorite.

alpy bc is dope, like a huge steep park covered in pow, west east and central all have dope terrain as well, its not steep but theres still so much natural shit to have fun with, qualmie has the best rails on the west coast with the exception of nstar and bear, but since we share rails with both those hills, i guess were even

well this is a bit older, but shit
stevens had an incompetent park crew, so they wasted like 500" of snow. the park was ok at times, but it just seemed inconsistent and anti-climatic (the waterfall got smaller, nothing was built, no real pipe, etc.) hopefully thatll change. supposedly it will so yay if it does. so yea, the park could be better, and that would be nice
snoqualmie could have a better park too. the rails are indeed nice, but the jumps arent so great... the stuff they built after the season was over looked super delightful, which begs the question why they didnt do it during the season
terrain is about equal. stevens has some nice bc, and alpental does too.

Summit most definately lacks in the jump department, but kills it on everything else.
Stevens has the plus of having everything contained right there, from steeps to park to BC but the Summit is pretty sick when you consider all of it's terrain. Plus it is damned close to the city:)
All times are Eastern (-5)
