I was at the nationals and there were only like 3 chicks who competed. Sure thats a bad thing because there was a lack of competition, but seriously all you cock swandlers, give the girl a break. She had the balls to go out there and compete and she feels she did well. Just because you guys are pissed off because you think she comes across as cocky or whatever, fuckin lighten up and get the sticks out yo ass's.
USASA is a damn good organization. Its a total middle ground competition. You have you local mountain comps that only bring in challenge from your hil and then theres usasa, which brings in challenge from all over. how could one feel comfortable competeing in their local hill comps and then suddenly making the transition to such a high stakes competition as the us open where you go against big name pros. Why not work you way up gradually? It would be like riding your bike with training wheels and then the first day you get the taken off you enter and downhill mountain bike race. Theres steps my friends.
Dont bash usasa because its the only middle ground low pressure comp going for us right now

There are 14/15/16 year old girls here in whistler that throw down 540's in pipe, 720's off kickers like it's nothing. Even switch and unnatty... and not all of them are sponsored. Fuck I've even won big air comps/skiercross before I blew my knee in junior girl categories a few years ago, and I'm a RACER. Sorry to burst your bubble but there isn't any competition in a "Junior" category, especially female. Not to rag on my own kind or anything.. but its true. Male categories are MUCH harder to win in, or place well. The same goes for senior categories. I've got a sponsorship for racing, and I get the odd pair of twinners, fatties if I send in footage or phone my rep "blahblahblahwon a skiercross" and BEG for skis, but thats atomic, Im sure its much harder for brands that are in demand for freestyle.

sensay fagster^ were you at nationals hu hu??? i dont think so for example my freind billy mann got 1st in mens open slope they promissed 500 bucks they handed him a big 5oo doller check and took it back and gave him a 100 doller check and the boarders got 500, and in the pipe the anoncers were saying skiers are just wanna be snow boarders and will never actully be a true sport and saying the only perpos for skiers is to slid the pipe for boarders.........what bitch i bet you feel dumb!

Even the snowboarders i talked to thought he was a dush, so dont let the opinions and views expressed by one individual create an image for you.
I didnt know about the check switch and i will admit thats kind of a kick in the balls, but when you have 130 snowboard competitors in one age group alone and at most 50 skiiers overall i dont see how you can look like skiiers arent getting treated fairly because the organization putting on the event doesnt give out the same amount of money to each discipline.
here is where u will feel like a real winner........ its kids like you who have no respect for a good grass roots organization who bring on this "ANTI SKIING" image that from some far reach of your closed mind you came about. Isnt it kind of ironic that you probably support big name ski companys to sport the newest gear when i imagine you have atleast one article of gear made from a company that isnt a sole twin-tip manufacturer. Next time check your self and realize that skiing isnt about the image or about the money, (because obviously 100 bucks to you aint shit, punkass rich kid) and maybe if you opened your mind and competed in usasa then you wouldnt be bitching about your little money issues would you...........

and i would say ninthward is core, but as far as bern and electric go, dont they also sponsor snowboarders? Even though those companys might be in snowboarding as well i would still say that they are good companys to represnt.
The only company that im really against is oakley because it has its hand into so many other aspects that skiing is just another category that brings in money.
Sponsors are cool for sure, i just think kids need to realize what image the companys they are sponsored by represnt
I did assume you were a rich kid but the only reason i did is because so many kids these days have that attitude like oh only 100 bucks fuck this, we should all be stoked on the money we get for doing somethig we love even if its like a 20.

sure all the big name pros are on the team, but when looking at companys i try and ask my self, what does the company do for the individual? Like how much say does one person have, does the individual customer get represented right? and from what i've experience and seen from oakley, they lack in all those areas. thas just my reason though
