Have any of you used carpet and snowfence before???

i wanna build a roll in in my back yard but i need to know if it works or not. i dont wanna through out a tone of money to have a big pileashit in my backyard that doesnt even work. How does it slide compared to real snow????

Well carpet doesnt really work at all, snowfence does, but I think the best is astroturf, and it slides but not that great, but it will be ifne if you have a big enough drop in.

your drop-in has to be pretty steep. Search the forums for astroturf, carpet, summer jib designs, etc. There's a lot of useful stuff in old threads.

I bought some green oustide carpet(astrosomething), and it was alright, with a steep drop in it should work for sure,but you gotta soap it so it slides well.

astro turf works if you have a pretty steep backyard, or a pretty big dropin, however you have to soap and water it up like crazy... if your yard is flat it wont work too great.

snofence over carpet works very well if it is wet. if there us the tiniest bit of ice/snow on it, you will approach the sound barrier.

ya astro turf and snow works amazing, go get a trash can full at an ice rink and it will work amazing
