Back yard setup

I recently made a box for my back yard and am wondering if astro turf would be the best alternative to snow in order to get speed from. If anyone has any knowledge as to how to do this that would be great. By the way i heard that astro turf with soap and water on it works well, but im not for sure.

yah jes get a fairly steep hill / inrun and it works great..... its no snow but it will get you on a rail
