well, im sure many of you remember me talking about building skis, and this summer, me and my friend (snowboarder) are starting a company. we are gonna start saving, get some money, buy supplies, printers, all that stuff. we are probably gonna set up a vac press in my shed. Also, when your building stuff like this, snowboards are way easier to build, cause you dont have to worry about constructing 2 identical boards, just one. they are also a ton cheaper, cause you need more than double the edge material, and thre are other stuff too, but we are still gonna build both. i cant wait.
Lets go skiing

Excellent job young men! That's titties.. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a website and post that shit on NS.com so we can all buy your skis for an NS.com discount. NS.com brings you business and by offering a discount to NS.com members, that in turn brings back business to NS.com. Be smart, market well, and make a good product. People will buy for a good price. A catchy name would be a goood marketing start!

That's great that you'll have a fun project to do. But in all honesty making skis and making longboards are totally differnt. Like my friends have made longboards with a vaccum press before and there no where near the quality you would need for skis. But i mean that isn't to say that you can't do it. I mean there is a guy on NS who has made his own skis and they look pretty legit, but then again i think he was in upper level engineering classes at school. But you know, whatever, good luck and have fun.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA holy shit! this is some old dirt to dig up! damn, i barely remeber that. but well, for an update, that project never really went through, as i was the only one really behind it. i built some halfass tooling, and called it quits.
HOWEVER,
its very wierd this came back now, cause we actually are doin this now. we have all the tooling finalized, and are just wrappin up finishing touches on stuff. everything is very legit. i also am in the works of prototyping and patenting a totally revolutionary ski core laminate design, that will totally blow minds. at this stage in the game, its STRICTLY, and i mean STRICTLY a low key project, for ourselves and a few friends, (so please no "I will help test your skis" BS msgs! lol) but depending on how well things go this season with it, we very well might step it up to the next level. i didnt wanna go post about it on NS till i had some legit finallized skis to back up with, but i saw this here and had to bring it up. tooo wierd this came up now, as we are doin it for real!
