Pretty sweet. I would've used masking tape so your lines are sharper though. Here's a pic of my helmet:

Stencil, masking tape, razor blade, spray paint, and about 2 hours was all it took.

should i leave a thin gap of gray between the black and the orange or just put the orange in right up to the black line. also will masking tape make clean lines? like no seepage?

if you rub it down, then there shouldn't be any seepage. I ran a pen over all the edges of tape before painting. You can see that there wasn't any running. This is especially important where your tape overlaps.

I would think it'd look better with a thin gap of grey, but that's just me. It'll take a bit more work though

sounds good...i was thinking about it today and i think if the orange runs up flush with the black with no gray itll look a lot better

Here's how I did it for those of you who are interested... good way to pass time during the off-season or if you're injured... or if you're bored like I am:

1)Lay out masking tape over something non-stick (like some stiff plastic).
2)Copy the design using the Siver Stencil or whatever stencil you have.
3)Transfer the tape onto your helmet and make sure there aren't any bubbles.
4)Using a razor blade, cut out all the areas to be painted. Don't push too hard because you don't want to be damaging the shell on your helmet.
5)Cover everything else that you don't want to paint. I put my helmet in a bag and taped around the stencil.
6)Spray paint a light coat of paint. Enamel paint chips, so I used a primer instead. It seems to stick fairly well and doesn't chip at all, well not yet.
7)Let it dry for 24 hours if possible. The drier it is, the better it'll stay.
8)Put on another coat or two of paint. Not too much because it'll build up and not blend very well
9)Take off all the tape. Use a razor blade to lift the corners if you're having problems.

I'm pretty sure that helmet manufacturers don't want you to paint or put stickers on their helmets because it can damage the materials. So a word of warning: Certain paints and solvents CAN dissolve the foam in your helmet, making it nothing more than a decoration for your melon!

I also have a way of painting designs onto skis. Nothing fancy, just more stencil work. I'll post directions if any of you are interested.

heres my helmet after i painted it, i couldnt find neon orange but i found an orangish metallic bronze color which is pretty sick
