i already used the searchbar...it gave me some ideas but i still need help...some kid said HDPE but i dont know what that is..and also.. how can i get puckboard??? i tryed to find it somewhere online but failed...also...do you know of any site where i can get astroturf for an inrun..online the only thing i can find is golf and baseball shit...
Okay, HDPE is an abbreviation for High Density Polyethylene. Puck board is the same as HDPE. You can find it at most home improvement stores (Home Depot, Lowe’s) or any plastics store. Some people have said that Formica laminated shelving boards work well to slide on, but I’ve never tried them myself.
As for places to buy Astroturf, it's a lot easier to buy directly from a store like Home Depot rather than a website because rolls of Astroturf are kinda heavy and shipping costs a lot. Or, do what I did: Behind most carpet installation warehouses are dumpsters full of leftover carpet scraps. Depending on where you live, carpet companies will occasionally install Astroturf putting greens/patios/decks. The second time I looked through the dumpsters at a carpet place near my house, I found about 30 sq feet of new Astroturf. Saved me 60 bucks.
i used laminate on one of my boxes and it slides really well as long as its cold but if it gets around like 35 or higher its sticky unless u put snow or water on it
astroturf? does that work good for sliding/traction, basically can i use that and lay it on my driveway for summer skiing? i've never heard of it being used so i just want to know what it's used for.
