I am 18 wiegh about 160 lbs and am about 6 ft tall. last year i had size 28.5 boots but this year at the begining of the season i bought a pair of size 27.5 x-wave 8.0s because they were cheap and i wanted to try a tighter more performance fit. Whenever i ski i get pain on the outside(sides) of my feet which is even worse when standing still it seems(lift lines) When i first got these at the begining of the season i could deal with this pain as it was not so bad and would fade in and out. The last trip i just went on the pain was just to f*ckin much and wouldnt go away even when i unbuckeled the bottom two buckz. I was considering taking them to a bootfitter and gettin then strethched or shaved or what not, or i may just get a new pair in a bigger size. i was just looking to see what some people have to say cuz im sure other peeps have had similar problems. suggestions on a good boot for my size and weight oh yea, and i ski about 50%park 50% pow? does one size make a huge diffrence in performance?, whats better a --.0 or --.5? same shell. what does anyone think?

have you tried putting in a sole. sometimes it will push out the sides of the boot and give your feet a fraction of space, but sometimes it makes the difference. or you can just wait for your boot to pack out. tkae out the boot and just wear it around and it will work in and maybe give some more comfort.

thanks man.so basically whati am asking is...i wear a size 11 or 11.5 shoe, i have x-wave 8.0 27.5 which i know are two small cuz they hurt, can gettin these professionally bootfitted make them fit without pain? cuz i hear its better to make a boot thats to small for u fit then one thats to big. i hate boots oh yea and sometimes on sketchy landings these boots bang up my toes. is gettin boots bootfitted really gunna make u ski better then just buyin a pair off the shelfs i mean sure custom ffootbeds r nice but this whole bootfitting seems extravagent. and wtf is the deal with high volume and low volume wow boots are redicioulas ...and u cant even trust a sales person cuz they just wanna sell certain boots based on how many they have in stock and commision ect.

sounds like they're fitted right, you just need some work done on them. try the regional forums to see where a good bootfitter would be in the areas you're looking. custom footbeds never hurt anyone either.

on highland drive in utah there is a boot shop called the sport loft. 801-272-3701. these guys specialize in boot fitting. might not be cheap though. otherwise, the spots den on foothill blvd in utah is an incredible shop. they will for sure be able to get you going. if you call the sports den - make sure you ask for someone who specifically knows there crap about boots. good luck to ya.
