I was thinkin about mounting a pair of of Fritchi Diamer Freerides on Armada ANTs. I want to huck a lot of cliffs and backcountry kickers so i dont know if this is a good idea or not.

if you're hucking alot than AT bindings are a bad idea.
if your going to get some...get the Nx21.
but hucking a lot will only break them.
get some trekkers.

how big are you hucking?anything under 20ft should be fine, but if your not doing more jumps/resort skiing than touring dont do it. just get some trekkers and save yourself $300.

dont do that. theyre heavy, and dont perform well at all. your strides are so wiggity wack with those. on a pair of touring bindings, they make them so your strides are easier. as far as hucking and all that goes, the Freerides put up to alot of abuse. alot. i havnt ridden or known anyone at my resort to ride the new NAXOs, but they seem extremely sturdy. but yea, the freerides i know for a fact put up to alot of shit. your trekkers are gonna be heavy and are just a pain in the ass. your goign to get alot more out of your money and alot more ease and fun for your money if you buy a sturdy AT binding.

are we talking drops or jumps?
they can handle 30 foot drops in the conditions are right. But you really dont want to push it.
up to 20 feet usually isnt a problem as long as the landing is soft.
I wouldnt want to jib on them at all.
Only get them if you will actually be touring a fair bit on them. If not, and you are just touring on occation, get trekkers.
they arent that bad

If you land them right. If you actually huck, they're not going to last. As people have said above, just get some trekkers, that way you'll have a better binding for the way down. I have a set and I don't find them to be heavy, just sort of a pain to carry around in my small pack. It all depends on how much backcountry you're going to be doing though. If you go out of bounds a lot, get some touring bindings and just take it pretty easy on them. If you're just a weekend/occasional backcountry skier trekkers will probably be a better way to go.

Treckers are things that you snap into your binding instead of your boot, then you put your boot in it and you have a free heal.
