Summer set up materials??

ive had little to no experiance with summer set ups...i need suggestions for layout and materials...mainly materails!

shaved ice from the local ice skating rink...

and astro turn type a stuff..

and how to prepare ski bases to work best...



LET ME KNOW HOW AND WHERE TO GET IT!
im gonna be keeping it small for the first year..a small run with a little kicker for 3 and 5's and maybe a small rail

go to mr seconds, past shopping town and get indoor/outdoor green carpet. its almost like turf and its cheap. if you want you can come to one of our sessions and see how its set up

just get a truck and fill it with arena snow than do urban drops all summer. nothing's cool than dropping off the roof of a building onto the boardwalk of the beach with hot chicks in bikini's everywhere.

you could even where a t-shirt over your face.

i thought it was close to useless...i kno how to build a ramp pretty well...i justn wanna know some materials like turf and shit,,,the stuff that those dry hills use...is it avaliible aywhere?

back in the day bishop had a pretty sweet setup in his backyard. he used old bed frames for the drop in, used an old skatboard ramp (at least that's what it seamed like it used to be to me) for the take off(s), and other then that he just put down astroturf, and put soap on it. we had to constantly water it down to keep it fast enough, but it worked ok. for the rails he just took pvc (or whatever you call that black plastic tubing, maybe abc or whatever) and made a wood frame for it with suports and stuff...

it was a little slow, but it did the job. he also had a teater toter rail.

Psh you dont need ice shavings. If you have a steep enogh hill or ramp, just use turf. It all works good. And pvc works best for rails. It wont kill ur setup.

sweet..thanks for the help guys..what does the turf do to your bases?..and what kdin fo wax..ive herd use a hard wax>?

yeah, you really dont need the ice shavings. it ends up being more trouble than its worth. just use turf from home depot (the stuff we bought came in 6x10 rolls) and nail it down to a ramp. then you just have to use water from a hose to soak the inrun every few hits or so. as for your bases, the type of wax really doesnt make that big of a difference.
