Just commit dude. It's all about getting over your injuries and going at it again. You just got a minor concussion and no broken bones so it shouldn't be that difficult to overcome it. The reason you cannot is all mental, the fear really.

That's the fear, it makes you hesitate. Although you may not realize it, that fear is keeping you from just saying, "Oh fuck it," and just spinning it.

that happend to me too, except my injury wasn't a concussion, it was 4 fractured vertebrae. I was back on the slopes as soon as I got the OK from the doc, and the first time I skied park it felt like i had been set back a year. It took me awhile to re-learn simple stuff. Dunno if it was fear or what not, but i was not comfortable doing easy three's on 20 footers...which i something i could do before i got hurt without effort...
just stick with it. dont get discouraged. maybe push it aside for awhile and work on something new.

just pop harder, that's part of the commitment, and is probably why you're coming up short. also try carving into it.

just do it, its all mental, I got a minor concussion wakeboarding this summer trying a 3 and I had landed 30 of them before that... 3 days later I went out and stomped it first try, it was scarey yea but u gotta committ... whats the worse that'll happen? you fall?

minor concussion=not an injury.
An injury would put you out more than a weekend of skiing...

visualize it first. I always hafta visualize the jump after I crash hard. It's all mental.

ok, thats some pretty sound advice, but ive been wondering for a while, does carving into spins make them that much easier? doesnt it start corks?

^ It's all about personal preference really. You just got to try different shit and see what is most natural and comfortable for you.

gettin hurt ruins everything. i sprained my ankle snowboarding a month ago and i havent been the same since. granted i can barely put pressure on it without it hurting so bad i fall over.

I've had some decent to bad injuries but I dunno they never really effect me. Just don't think about it. The first day I learned disasters this year I fell hard and fractured my hip (never got it checked out but still hurts like a bitch so I'm assuming) then 7 weeks later I laned a 450 disaster, just go for it. It probably didn't hurt that bad

injury and lack of riding (stupid east coast shitty weather and having no decent local hill) stops mine

here is the deal, you are probably only throwing a 3 and trying to rotate your feet to a 5. a 5, similar to every other spin, is its own trick. it does not help to think of linking differet tricks. think of seting a 5 and be prepared for your landing to be blind. it gets natural after a while

this is what i'd tell ya. i broke my back today and have been thinking about what i'm going to do when i get back on snow. it's going to be weird at first, but i'm definitely going to avoid the park for a while until i get my confidence back. remember- it's not a competition, so just go out there and try to enjoy yourself. if you can't throw the trick, just take it easy and work on rails or stuff out of the park for a while.

Conquer those nerves. Work your way back up to them, if you haven't already. You have to get that confidence back you had prior to the injury.

what did you do to your back? My injury sucked so bad, but it could've been worse. I mean, i drove myself to the emergency room, even though it took me about 45 min to walk the 150 yards to my truck because i was in so much pain. lol.

i mean I cant even do one so you got me there but it just sounds like you are maybe thinking about not falling again and getting hurt and even though you may not realize it that thought is making you hesitate

You have to do it again, the sooner the better. Now that you have developed a fear for it (classical conditioning) you have to break that fear, or else the fear is going to overwelm you.
