Its almost April and weve had like 3 in of snow for the past 3 weeks but my local mtn has been closed for the season since the beginning of March. Now that I can't go skiin Im so ready for summer
Man I completely agree. I wish there was no inbetween. I want it sub 32 degrees one day wiht 2 feet of snow, and the next over 60 and sunny. Come on mother nature work with me here
well if you have enough snow and if you live at least 15 minutes or less from the mountain, i would go there, hike it, and make a huge kicker or maybe a huge line of kickers, thats what kids do at my mountain wen it closes
r u kidding? you guys would want it to be sub 32 then really warm and no skiing? the in between is the best part. Obviously not once the resorts close but for park skiing, right now is perfect, 40-50 degrees soft landings park still pretty good these 2 weeks are the best. until mid may when killy closes, then its still fun cause u can have rail jams.
yea i agree spring skiing is probably one of my favorite times of the year..but in central NY we only have like one weekend of 45 degree weather before the snow is all gone. and its kinda hard/pointless to hike with 3 in of snow
well i live in ontario and this is the last weekend the hill will be open prolly, but ure so right the landings for jumps are so soft and it gives u the sick confidence to do some crazy shit before the seson ends and end it on a good note
i am wearing a short sleeve shirt today, its nice outside. 15min up the canyon, alta has 173" base. it's called 'best of both worlds'. oh, and we're gettin more snow this week. i normally would be lovin it, but i have an ankle prob thats keepin me out for a few weeks. the only down side to all the snow is that i have to wait half the summer untill i can start riding my yz up in the high trails.
im not ready for summer yet spring is the worst too im ready for more snow but its not likely im thinkin bout stealing a rail and hiking up to some snow this weekend though
