Im looking for a ski that can function good in both the park, in powder, and in the backcountry. Im thinking the Line Mothership Flight or Chronic Wide. Im also thinking about getting a set of reactors and a freedom plate to go with, but i heard they are heavy as shit and break easy. Im just tryin to get my shit straight, help me out if you can.
my friend uses the seth Vicious for every thing and loves them but if ur talkin from line id say go prophet100 or somethin the mother ships like a back country jump only kind of thing (sweet top sheet) and the chronic wide is more park and groomers with occasinol powder
a one ski quiver, there pretty hard to find and you will never get the best of both worlds
well for if you want both then the ski will have to be mounted pretty far back for powder but having it so far back will mess up the skis park abilities, just save up your money and get 2 skis.
depending on how heavy u are, id suggest the high society FR179, if ur any where from 145-175, but other than that id definately go with the seth vicious (also depends on ur skill level)
I ski chronic wides, and they rock for everything. Once u get to know them, they work for everything. I skied them through wihistlers sick january, where they were awsome in 80cms of powder, and in the cold droughts they rock in park, and are great on in the pipe, even when its icy. they are very stable off cliffs, too. But if you ski lots of pow and big mountain, I would go witha seth vicious or prophet 100s, althought are not supposed to be very good in park. but wides still rock for big mountain/pow
Yeah I im stationed in NC, I take trips out west every year. Im getting a transfer to 29 Palms california so then Ill be only a few hours from the mountains.
ya dude i have elizabeths thier pretty good in the park, amazing at powder, super fun on groomers but
if u do a lot of rails i wouldnt recomend them
but there pretty good for big jumps
