Thank you for screwing up my skis.
I took my MSP's to be mounted at -2 from freeride and the shop screwed it up so bad they had to go back (3 of the 4 pieces were not even touching the ski, anywhere from 2mm to 6mm off the ski, the toe pieces werent even centered 2mm to the one side...)
anyways i take them back to get fixed and now because they screwed up, they cant be mounted at the same spot (meaning a THIRD remount now) all because they lied to me saying they had the wide tyrolia jig... Turns out they don't, and my skis got fucked up because of it.
Now im pissed because my MSP's have been mounted 3 times (now they are weak as hell because there is now another set if drill holes) and now they gotta be mounted closer to center. The -2 position from freeride (which is where i wanted them, they tipdive at center) is fucked and now i got ride basically freeride (more centered then i want)...
great...

they screwed mine up a little 2, one binding was bigger than the otehr and my ski kept falling off, and there not perfectly in the same spot on each ski

Its not that they screwed up, mistakes happen.
It's that I was told that they had the wide jig and they would have no problem mounting them. They didn't, thats not right to advertise like that. I was worried because they had been drilled and filled once already, i couldn't afford a screw up.
Now Im stuck with skis with 3 sets of drill holes in them and if they snap, I'M out skis; 4FRNT wont warrenty it and the shop won't come good for it.
They aren't even mounted where I wanted them either. Fun.

i dont think that matters. He was told that and they fucked hes skis up.. i think that a pair of skis need to be payed for. He obviosly isnt going to be able to ski the he wants to becuase they arent mounted to his prefference.
ALSO his skis probably wont make it through next season becuase they are going to be week as balls becusae of the tripple mount.

the skis had been mounted and filled once.
Thats why i was worried about makign sure the shop had the right jig because i can't afford anything more then a second drill. Now i got 3.

What i don't understand is it seems like you have come to accept their mistakes and just seemed pissed off about. You should have complained to management and demanded some sort of Reimbursement for their horific service. I am sure that if you talked to the manager something COULD have been done. I am not sure if they would go to the extent of getting you new skis but they could have given you a deal of somesort like half price off a new pair of skis, or somesort of card to get free tune ups and such (not thta you want that anymore lol).
And if you go back now and do all of this, its kind of useless because u repedetly let them fuck up your skis...

let me get this straight. you bought 4frnts somewhere other then mt kirby, and then bindings somewhere other then mt kirby. boooooooth of which mt kriby doesnt carry (4 frnt skis or tyrolia bindings) and then you get pissed when they dont mount accuratly. (i didnt read the full story so i could be wrong so dont quote me on it) but its expected they would mess up. seeing as how the dont carry either company, i wouldnt take it there to get mounted. i guess lesson learned.

lesson learned?!
you bring your skis in to get mounted accuratly, because you cant do it yourself, you shouldnt excpect them to mess up, why would he bring them in?!
and just because he diddnt buy everything at the store dosent mean poop, it dosent take rocket science to put bindings on to the right order. I mean come on, thats just carelesness. Maybe you should read the story over its really unfair for ryno.

Read the story pal before you make any comments.
I dont care if they carry it or not. I walked in there and was TOLD there was no problem mounting them because they had the wide jig and they could do it.
I know they dont carry either but guess what? No one else does anywhere close to me. They lied, thats why I'm pissed.

ok. after several messages from ryan stating non needed things, i figured i might as well read this thread so i back myself up. So i read the opening thread. and ever single persons reply. And my first reply was correct. Why wouldnt you get your bindings either mounted at one of two stores. Where you bought the bindings (the would have a much greater chance of havign the jig) or where you bought the skis. I realise your pissed about all of this. i would be too. But complaining on here doesnt do much in regards as to getting yoru skis fixed. Whyning to mt kirby would take your farther then whyning to us. i feel your pain tho. i would be super pissed, so i guess next time go to a shop that you bought some of your gear for in relation to what your getting done.

I buy skis and bindings off the interent, it's impossible for me to get them mounted at the different shops.
This isn't about that though.
This is about them telling me there would be no problem mounting them up.
If they had of told me they couldn't do it because they dont carry that line of binding therefore they dont have that jig, this wouldnt be an issue.

^Mentioning it on here does serve a purposes, 1) you find out if it is common problem 2) others become aware and if it is a common problem we can all stay away

They totally owe you. I mean, they did the last remount because they realized they fucked up.
so.. make them get you a new pair. I'm sure the boys in the shop will have no problem making the skis a warranty case anyways.

no.
the dumbasses at mount kirby owe him a new pair of skis. they need to call up 4frnt and order a pair of msps. they can keep the ones they fucked up and sell them for a cheaper price.
reguardless, the fucked up and he's getting new skis.

pretty much everyone would replace a ski dumbass. my shop would get the person a new pair of skis in a heartbeat.
a free remount is bullshit. it fucking weakens the hell out of your skis. he's going to go ride his msps twice and they're going to snap and they're fucked.
why? because your dumbass fucked up.

The way I see it is like you bringing a used car into a shop to get some noises worked out, once its "fixed" it breaks down as a result of that supposed fix, if the shop can realize this they shouldnt deny you some kind of reinbursment.

It doesn't matter if he didn't buy them there. He was paying the shop to mount them correctly, which they said they could do. Then they screwed it up -- not only once -- putting his skis at risk, which he trusted them with. At most GOOD shops, it is their policy to buy you new skis, even if they don't carry them, they should have to order you new skis at full price. Unless they serously want a bad rep.

i dont care what they say about drill holes...i dont want 3 sets. You wouldnt either. I also wanted -2, not freeride (which they now have to be mounted at because -2 is fucked up).
look at it as if these were your skis. you would be pissed if all that happened to you new skis

wow.
technically if they dont give you new skis or re-emberse your for the price of your msp's you can take legal action.
thats like me taking my car in to get tinted windows, them slapping tinfoil on all the windows and saying its done.
exspecially if the tech admitted they fucked it up. i wouldnt be letting this one go man. kirby is a specialty shop. this is the reason why you go there and not sportchek or something.
and sw_steeze, not carrying the skis or bindings has nothing to do with nothing. thats like saying i drive a ford so i have to take it to a ford delearship to be fixed. and if i dont take it to ford, and they accidentally fuck it up worse then im shit out of luck.
it just dosnt work that way man.
