Only a month late...

well fucking worth it.

These skis are fucking sick. Construction is very beefy. Not quite as fine as the igneous, a few rough spots, but they feel bomber.

Very thick.

Surprisingly stiff too. Went with a medium flex in the tip, medium stiff underfoot, and stiff in the tail.

By the igneous scale, I would say tip is at least 240, tail is at least 250, maybe 260. Clost to as stiff as my recent (now vicious') 190 FFF 265 RA. Stiffer than my new 190 FFF 240.

184 seems a bit short, but I think because these babies are fairly stiff it will be ok.

Overall - very happy

Very happy. A capital big mountain twin maybe a possibility, depending on summer job and my need to buy at least the lotus 138.

fuck scott. i wanted to go with the opposite color scheme for my BMTs, but i'm thinking i might have to go the same direction as you.

post a pic of you whole quiver as soon as everything is mounted. i'm excited.

how are you mounting the el jefes? are you putting 916s on them?

I originally wanted to go with the dark stripe on light...

but after seeing a few the ones I got look sicker.

If I get another pair I will switch it up.

I will post a pic of the almost whole quiver soon. The lotus 138 wont happen until next year.

Mounting the el jefe on the midsole line. These babies are stiff as fuck.

s916 with a race-connector thing are going to be put on them.

s916s on everything but my park skis and touring skis.

the ants are pretty hard to come by right now. I think it'd definitely be cool to have a fully custom pair of skis. Doesn't really get more core than that.

i dont get this statment.

But the skis and bases feel bomber.

only thing Im slightly disappointed about is the length.

they are only about 182.5 cm long. 1 cm shorter than my 183 gots and about the same size are my 179 SP.

but their running length is longer than both SP and gots.

I think I may pick up a BMT as well...and a lotus 138....and a lotus 120....

FACK. My bank account just commited suicide...

congrats, those skis loke amazing. like a surfboard when the shaper glasses the size width and rocker into the board. so between igneous and capitol. who makes the better skis? I understand both have their pros and cons, but for buying a single pair of customs skis. does igneous make a better product?

well....I have yet to ski the capitals.

But I have owned 4 pairs of iggies.

As far as construction goes....the igneous are a bit better. Both are very beefy and i am equally please with how the skis are constructued.

The Igneous are a bit finer though - everything on the iggies is perfect.

the capitals have a few rough spots and such that dont matter, but show it was handmade.

skiing wise - from those ive talked to, they ski very similar.

Capital has twins, igneous doesnt. That is the biggest difference.

So...if you want a twin it really isnt a question.

IMO - igneous really can't be touched as far as quality.

I've yet to recieve my kingswood (next week) or DPs (next....october), so I cannot comment on their durability.

Lets put it this way though...

you cannot go wrong with either company. They are both vastly superior to anything commercially available.

I wish my uncle would help. Maybe I should call him.

All of my ski stuff has been paid for by my past summer job (venture capital firm).

I am seriously so broke right now. all my money is in skis.

Im so glad you went with walnut with the maple strip!!! It looks soooo sick.

That is my dream ski, other then the fact i might have tweaked the flex a little different.

such a sick do everything, bc jib ski. AH!
