i was considering getting these skis for next year. i want a wide but sorta stuff twin. i skied karmas this year and liked them alot but i wanna go a little softer, but a little wider. ive skied the pocket rockets on hard pack and i found those sometimes hard to ski so how do they compare to the mojos. i think i can get some of these discounted from a friend so thats why im considering them.
I have mojos, and they are really stiff the first 10 times you ride them. Just try buttering. It's impossible. but they get softer after a while, to the point where they're sick.
my karmas did not flex much to start, and i can pop off my tails and nose decently now, but not that good...so has anyone actually riden both the karmas and mojo 90 and can compare?
i demoed these skis over my break. i liked them but they were stiff and heavy compared to my t halls. they had good flotation and they werent that funny carving
I've ridden them both. The Karmas are definitely softer, so they're better for park but not as nice around the mountain(although they're still pretty good). To whoever said the mojos had a similar ride to pocket rockets, I beg to differ. I have also ridden that ski and the PR's have a turning radius that's about half as big, they're super soft and squirrely, and just not at home outside of powder at all. The mojos are definitely the better all-mountain ski if you have the weight to handle them, but the karmas will be more at home in the park. By the way, I'm 6' 1" and 160 lbs.
