Speeding Tickets

Got a speeding ticket? Dont want your insurance to go up? Here is what you do...

When you send in the check to pay off your fine write it for 2-3 dollars over and send it away.

A couple of weeks later you will get back a refund check.

Now here is the tricky part. Rip it up and never cash it.

The city's books wont balance and there for you ticket will never be processed and sent to your insurance company.

Worked twice for me both in Golden CO so dont know if it will work for you but let me know.

I'll second this, it really does work. I did it for my 97 in a 65. Sent in $385 for a $380 ticket, my insurance never went up after I got the check back. I still have the check laying around somewhere.

and when exactly did you get your speeding ticket? cause when i got my accident, it wasn't until like over one year, more like 2 years until my insurance went up.  and then my dad switched insurance under his name so pretty much im like a 2nd driver instead of the main driver.  i think it cost like 125 every 3 months to do it this way.  but the problem is i am only insured to drive any cars that my dad owns and i am not allowed to drive my friends car.

so sometimes the insurance take a long time to look up your traffic record, so that is why the price hasn't gone up yet...

that's an awesome trick! it's risky though. if somehow it doesn't work than you get points on your license and all the consequences that come along with that. you might stand a better chance pleading not guilty and going to court. as long as you're apologetic to the judge and come up with a reasonable excuse for speeding he will usually let you off with no points. it's worked for me on a number of occasions. but if this trick works its def way better than having to go to court.

you still have to go to court. Its just to keep your insurance rates form going up. It has nothing to do with the legal system. However I talked to my insurance guy a couple of days ago about getting boat insurance and he told me that there were no moving violations on my account. So it works but I think it depends on the insurance agency. But its worth a try it only costs you a buck or two and if they do report that shit to your insurance company cash the check haha.

my buddy got a 140  in a 55 the cop had some pulled over and he went flying buy cop pursued and buddy turned down a dirt road to get away well we thought we were away and then we saw lights so we punched it but never got away. the cop went into the ditch 2wic in pursuit. Then when we did stop he pointed a gun at us and pistol whipped my friend for not complying (complete bullshit). So in the end my buddy took him to court for all the illegal shit he did (pistol whip, illegal search of car, not reading us our rights) so me and my buddy got off with a 100 fine apiece. So then yesterday while he was off duty we saw him at mcedys and offered him driving lessons.

Sorry it didn't work for you bro but it worked for me. I talked to my insurance company yesterday about getting boat insurance and asked them if I had any recent tickets and he had one that I didn't do the trick but the other one was not on there.

The key here is that is depends on a lot of things but if you risk it your only out 2 bucks.
