damn sam i'd be down to meet fellow dl'er if i was a little closer to the area. snowmass is the shit, definitely check out highlands and ski the new temerity chair and highlands bowl. it was a sick mountain before they even opened any of that stuff up, and all that extra terrain just makes it that much better.
yeah ive been here a few times int he past, and hghlands is the one mountain i havent really spent enugh time on, i always wanted to hike the bowl, but every time i was there and ready to do it it was closed up, ill have to get up there this trip and check it out.
how's the snow in that area right now?? i'll be there in early april and prolly gonna ski snowmass, highlands, aspen... and i'll see if something else.
don't forget about sunlight, which is outside of glenwood springs. good little mountain on a powder day. escape the aspen crowd, pay lots less for a ticket.
don't waste your time at sunlight. you'll be pissed off when you get there and realize you could've gone to snowmass for $40 more, especially on a powder day. there are no crowds in aspen or snowmass unless it's a holiday.
the conditions right now are as good as they have been all year. highlands has its deepest snowpack of the season but it closes april 2, a week from tomorrow, which is a complete bummer.
SICK! to bad about highlands though... hey you guys know where i can buy a good pair of bindings at a good price in the snowmass/aspen area? i need to get a pair for a light skier (look nova or something)
