Looknig to buy 174 FOILs for 60% Backcountry/ Freeride,30% park,10% piste (if I have to).
Tried Karmas and PEs but liked FOILS more all around. Any thoughts? Anything else worth looking into?
Also - 5'10" 165, 174 right length? (FOILs are pretty wide so was thinking maybe 166)
Thx.

if i was using a ski for 60% backcountry i'd want it to be fatter than the foils. that's just me though.

yea go for 174 cause a 166 will be to short for your height .. unless you are a less advanced skier. but if youre a strong skier go for the 174

yah thats just about the best ski you can get for that kind of riding, 174 = good. perfect.

well it should hold up. but if you think 124/85/114 in a 174 may not work, then you never know.

If you weigh 165 and will be skiing 60% pow I would definitely go longer than 174's and maybe fatter than foils. I weigh 160 and I ski on 185 ARV's most of the time and they are awesome in the park and out of bounds.

why not a gun instead of a foil?
