After the worst shin bang of my life skiing seven days straight a month ago, I got fed up and decided to try these bad boys. I have booster straps, and these helped a lot, but they could only do so much. I just got the shintronics and tried them in my boots, and I am really impressed. They are really thick neoprene with removeable pads for your shins on the inside. I was worried itd be a sissy little piece of fabric but they're about an inch thick in front of the shin. They really help cushion as well as keep your shin from wiggling in the boot. Im skiing tomarrow, so ill give a report on how they work for real. Check em out though:
