ovechkin and crosby arent really comparable players. they play way different styles. and i wouldnt say hes cocky, just a kid having a good time.

ovechkin is the best goal scorer in the world right now. crosby is probably a better all around player because of his ability to make plays AND score. neither really back check or play much D but thats not why they are in the NHL. Unlike college or HS hockey in the NHL jobs are broken down much more so a line could consist of a goal scorer like ovechkin and playmaker like crosby an all around talent who can do both and play D and hit like forsberg. the way the nhl changed its rules a player like ovechkin is the most valueable player aside from a goalie who can stop anything which there havent been for a little while. added to the fact him and crosby are very young ovechkin is 20 or 21 i believe and crosby is 19. wayne gretzky commented that one of them will break his records. In the next few years I expect ovechkin or crosby assuming to big injuries will score 100 plus which hasnt been done in a long time

after tonight, crosby is +14 and ovechkin is -2. crosby has 6 more points in 5 less games played. ovechkin is on fire right now though. like i said, theyre different types of players; you can really compare them. and you cant really lose with either of them

Ovechkin is more lethal offensively and arguably plays with more of an edge.
Crosby is who you'd want to build a dynasty around. He's the better player.
Jagr and Heatley are the most dangerous players in the league right now.
However.
Lidstrom is hands down the best player in the NHL, and anyone who attempts flat out to deny that doesn't know what they're talking about. He does absolutely everything that matters better than absolutely everyone else at his position and is a bigger offensive threat than most teams' top scorers while simulatneously making HIS team's scorers considerably better. Crosby will probably be the best player in the world a few years down the road. But right now, it's number 5 in your program.

i dont find. crosby is a better all around player, like point wise. but ovechkin could probably out deek crosby and maybe even out skate him. ovechkin is mainly a goal scorer.

I agree that crosby is a better all around player, but ovechkin is a scorer, and fan's appreciate that shit. And even if he is cocky, if you were 19 years old and the best goal scorer in the NHL, you might be a little cocky too

and what about Evgeni Malkin? He had a good season start and he's talented. Give him like 4-5 more seasons and he'll be a top player.

Def crosby and malkin....they just dangle the puck like nobody's buisiness. And its like no goalies have learned to block crosby's lacross lifting goals yet.
i dunno if Vinny and richards schould be in there. Vinny is still an incredible player, i seen him do one of his singnature "back hand through the legs" tricks the other day, and it was awsome. But Richard just isn't as good as many players you have on that list.

brad richards is better than semin, both sedins, and others on that
list. hes one of the best play making centres in the league. and he can score. hes not
getting any points this year because he plays with nobody; often
prospal, alexeev, fedetenko and perrin. he gets time with lecavalier and st
louis on the pp and thats pretty much it. if he were playing with st
louis, he would have just as many points as lecavalier.

good duo, although not flashy, is langkow and iggy. yashin and blake
were doing well together until yashin went down with that knee injury. and we certainly cant forget kozlov and hossa
