Yo ive got the scott p3 they are super sick. the edge will crack like anyother ski but the skis are sweet. they stomp and are super fun. there pretty stiff so heavier you are better but im only 130 and ride them fine. other than cracked edge nothing else is wrong no delaminating or anything

I just picked up a pair of P3's (178cm)
Any recommendation for mounting?
Is there much performance loss with a center mount?

Nothings new with next years, exept the design.
Just measure the ski from tail to nose, cut the numbers in half, and you have center mount, personally i would probably do + 4 or something like that.

So does anybody actually ski these center mounted?
Or if you own a pair, where did you mount?

So I measured, and it looks like center mount would be +5 (for 178cm ski)
I don't want to lose much performace (I still want to be able to rip turns)
Maybe I'll compromise and do a +2 or +3?

you'll be able to rip turns with them centered. just put them in the middle.

You will get used to them how ever you mount them.

No doubt I'll get used to them either way, but looking for the optimum mounting point ahead of time.
I worry because when I changed my old P2 Intoxica's to center mount, there was a dramatic decrease in performance. It effected everything from turn initiation, to edgehold, to rebound...
All of these are important to me, especially neing on the east coast.
Of course that's an old design and I'm sure it wasn't developed with center mounting in mind.
Has anybody ridden the P3 both ways?
What type of differences?
