Film and airport xray

should i be worried about my dv tapes being run through the xray? i've heard that it fucks up like 35mm and 16mm film, but i don't know about dv. lemme know.

most common 35mm film isnt going to be dammaged by the x ray its mostly special films and super high iso ones that are. as for mini dv tapes they arent affected by it either but just to feel safe ask for your camera bag to be hand checked. if you have a 35mm camera(point and shoot or SLR) make sure not to have film in it cuz they will open it to make sure there isnt anything in it.

as long as the film isnt over 800asa/iso it wont have any problems

thats what they say..but tell that to my 10 fogged rolls of 100 ASA film from NYC...if its film, make them check it

i do too but the fuckers at JFK insisted that nothing would happen becuase it was a new machine....and they refused to handcheck it.....bastards
