i need help with my ipod..it stopped working and whenever i plug it into my comp it goes to thwe apple sign then to the "sad ipod" screen then it goes to the charging screen with the battery but the juice inside the battery that moves back and forth freezes and my comp dosent read that its connected..my warrenty is up..i want to get it fixed by this weekend cause i already had to suffer through 1 weekend skiing without it and i felt naked
i think he ment the harddrive on the ipod is fried. Same thing happened to me, and i sent it back to apple and got a new one but it was still under warranty. Apple can still fix it but it'll cost you, so you might wanna give them a call to see if its worth all the fees to get it fixed.
I do'nt think it means your hard drive is fried....The SAME EXACT thing happened to me, I contacted Ipod, and they sent me the packaging stuff today. As I was putting it into the box to send it, I accidentally hit the button, and it turned on and went the main menu. I proceeded to yell and curse, because it had been doing that and going to the apple, then the sad ipod icon. And out of the blue, it decides to work. And now I'm putting songs back on it...So...fuck you Apple, and I don't think it an issue with the hard drive being fried, just slightly malfunctioning.
