Um well around here Chinese downhill is like skiercross and downhill racing. The start id the top of a run and the finish is the lift. And its a all-out battle from start to finsih on skis. We do it with at least 10 people per race and sometimes we are even more.
In zermatt switzerland they do it every year. Its organized by a local bar but they keep it on the DL cos its not all that safe and the resort would try and stop it if they knew. 50 people start at over 3820m/12500ft! out of their skis and then run and jump in and race to the base at 1620m/5200ft. Its been done in under ten minutes. I did it two years in a row on 220s. Any way down. Fully fuckin sick.
in thredbo (australia) theres the 'thredbo top to bottom' race, its a le mans start for everyone then its a massive chinese downhill
i came 4th in a class of about 60 people. it fucking rocked!
i came first, down a hill at blue mountain with 100 people. no big deal, just funny as hell when ski patrol dropped the rope and everyone started sticking it, haha.
On ski team at my school they called it chinese downhill when they spread out across the width of the trail and bombed down the hill leaving no room for anyone else. Then again, most of them were raging queers, so what they do is probably wrong.
hahaha, we did king of the mountain and the kid who's birthday it was screwed his ankle pretty bad, needless to say he didn't come to work the next day
