dont know anything about the edge durability, but while volkl makes a great ski, heads are bomb proof. ive got a pair of monsters and theyve held up amazing.

don't even worry about incidental rust, itll just ski off. And if the edges are real rusty its probably because you aren't keeping them in a warm dry place.

My friend has been hucking on them all season (he even dropped a 30 footer onto rocks fullspeed on them) and he hasn't managed to break them yet and this kid goes through multiple pairs of skis a season.

they arent too heavy, i used to have a pair, but they flex about as much as a 2x4 so you gotta be able to flex em

i dont really like the durability of the new models (05/06) as for head.. they are very solid

the only durability issue that I've had with mine is the top sheet tends to chip easier than other skis i've had, but that doesn't effect the preformance of ski. other than that they'er amazing.
is there any ticks you guys know of how to keep fix the topsheet, or prevent is from gettin' nicked up?

dont cross ur skis on the chair...and try not to let people run into ur skis waiting in line...good thing bout the 05/06s u can barely tell unless u look close
