Teddy passed away dooing what he loved today. He was the main filmer for Theory-3 media, and was the guy responcible for capturing some of the best most progressive new school skiing.
Teddy, was the nicest guy I have ever met and was the more stoked about skiing than anyone I have ever met. For the last three years, Teddy has been at my side shooting video everyday I have been shooting stills. I had justgotten back from shootingan entirely new area today, and was trying to call him about it when Jeffy called telling me that Teddy passed away while filming the K2 Back 9 in Whistler. Teddy was a mid-west kid that moves out west to full fille his life dream of filming skiing, and studying plastics engineering. He died doing what he had always wanted to do, and had an amazing life the few short years he was around. Hde will be sorely missed and are entire sport will fill his abscence.
RIP Buddy, I hope that you are gettin endless blower powder runs and nailling all of that A stock foottage up there.

I met Teddy very briefly at the 2001 Phat Air Fridays back at Pando, in the Grand Rapids (MI) area. I remember being simultaneously excited to see some skiers with style, and bummed that I was being outclassed by him and his boys. Ever since that chance meeting, I've followed his career through NS and was impressed at what he accomplished in the few short years since those comical contests there. Best wishes to his fam and everyone close to him.

It was soo great to see so many people on wednesday in teddy's memory. It was so fun reminiscing all of the great memories when we would hang out. Zach and i talked about our favorite memory when he and teddy would come over and watch ski movies and drink beer. We would play drinking games to ski movies and would have to drink everytime someone skied switch, did a certain trick, etc. Teddy would get sooo LOUD especially with his midwest accent and zach and i would spend the whole time cracking up and telling teddy to be quiet. He was always such a bright smiling person. He will truely be missed.

i joined ns just after teddy made some breakthroughs or what not, so i never knew more than he was a god to some people, and the coolest guy. i have heard nothing but good things about him, although i dont know much, i just know its sad because hes such a loved guy in the ski world by everyone.

Edward Preason Knape, Teddy as most of his friends or family knew him. Great skier an even better friend. As one of his younger cousin he look out me. Every moment I think of him I think what a great Person he was but I also sad by that the world lost such a great
Person.

"Better Me than you" Teddy Knape. One time Teddy, his brother Peter, and me where jump off a metal talbe and Peter Jump and a bit of the metal was porbed up and Teddy went and it got him in the foot he said if it was you it would have gone right through your foot. Every time I take off my shoe I think of what a great preson teddy was.
