IPod Question

My iPod is full and am looking for a new one (the 30 gig). I was wondering how I back up my songs, so I can transfer them to the new iPod with ease. Please respond because I might have a cheap discount lined up. Thank you.

well, all your songs on your ipod should be in your itunes, so it shouldnt be any trouble?

i havnt been able to figure out how to take songs off of my ipod and store them on my computer.

that is the problem, all of my songs aren't on my computer. cause i used my dad's computer at the beginning before i got my computer.

get itunes on your computer, change the ipod setting to manual, plug your ipod in, and rip all your songs onto your comp. the ipod songs will automatically be shown on the left hand side, click on " "'s Ipod., and drag it into your library.
