they don't suck they're stuff is awesome. they cost more because they put more into r&d then any other company. plus i'm sure it costs them a pretty penny to support people like tanner. hehe

oakley makes the best fucking eyewear in the world...do you know what goes into producing their lenses? the way they produce the lenses leads to the most optical clarity of any eyewear out there- effort actually goes into their lenses, and thats why it's so expensive. i have two pairs of oakley goggles, and i wouldnt trade them for anything else, no way. and their outerwear and clothing is pretty high quality as well.

the r&d is such bullshit, the lenses and frames are plastic, (except the super expensive stuff) its impossible to get the optics they claim to have. i had a pair and my von zippers are ten times better

ok, if you have enough money for Oakley products, good for you because you have the best of the best. that is simply all there is to it!

(I think it is safe to say that the majority of people would agree that they are the best of the best)

and yes they are expensive. oakley has many many people who work for them, that look at what price to set their products at that they could make the most money. aparently they can make the most money at the prices they have set.

Example (not Oakley, abvousley):

cheaper-more people buy it
more expensive-less people buy it

in that example the consumers did not think that the product was worth a lot of $$$. tharefor weren't willing to pay more...

i cant believe you think that their lenses are made out of plastic you DUMBFUCK. holy shit, no, they're not. some people dont like oakleys because they dont fit them right, then find something that does, but oakley is truly the most optically correct eyewear on the planet, hands down.

1st, the lens are made out of Plutonite, not plastic.2nd there is some with iridium, wich is a derivate of some metals.

3rd, if you knew the 1/10 of the R&D and about what research they are doing with every product return cuz of a defect, you wouldnt wonder why they are expensive...

Oakley has set up one of the most successful marketing machines in the entire world, they're making billions of dollars every year and God bless them for being the greedy selfish profiteering bastards that they are cause that's exactly what makes America the shit. woah, there davinchi, i used to stand behind smith and thier products but seriously their googles are not up to par, i have triad regulators, pretty much their best goggles and they fog up all the fucking time. Oakley might be expensive, if you don't want to own them don't. it's no good bitching about it.

If you're so pissed that you can't afford Oakley shit, too fucking bad. Get a job at a shop and get proform. As for Oakley, it really doesn't matter if they're the best or not, their marketing is. Why I put my Oakley goggles on my face? I THINK they're the best, for whatever reasons. I put my Oakley sunglasses on my face, and I THINK they're the best. They might not be, but it really doesn't matter to me when they're on my face. For what it's worth, I haven't found another goggle/sunglass that's worth buying over Oakleys, so I'm sticking with them.

get a job and fillup a proform? oakley stoped making staff deals 3 years ago. And now it's 1 year warranty instead of life like before...

oakley makes good sun glasses and googles I have to admit. It's just too much $$$ for what you get, thats it!

damn davinci, you really are stupid arent you? oakley has the O-Form, a promotional deal where shop employees can get 15% off of the cost of the product by calling in using a specified form for that employee...this has been going on recently, up to this year, so yes, there are employee deals like all hell out there- and even if you worked at a shop and their wasnt, you could still order them for cost. i dont think you're up to par on your information.

first of all, you never have to pay full price. i got my wisdoms for $50 (black w/fire), my 2x4 jacket for less than $70, and from shops mind you... its good shit. so complaining aboud price is kinda dumb and stuff. quality is there too. yea, they have $700 jackets, why anybnody would pay that is beyond me, but i dont know what im trying to say, so, um, oakley is good shit
