So for some reason everytime i go for just a switch 5, my inside (i spin left) edge of my ski always catches the lip... Any suggestings on clean takeoffs while spinning switch? seems to be my problem. Any help would be great.

try carving and don't spin until you leave the lip.

pop alot, when you spin switch you tend to naturally not pop, so try and over emphasize it

wait until the very end of the jump to set the spin. If you watched it on vid you'd probably be surprised how early you set

learning small switch spins (i cant do big ones) i was taught to think like you are doing a zero spin until you leave the lip and then spin. it helped me a ton

spin later
Seriously thats the biggest problem and almost everyone i see does it (including me sometimes). Wait until your boots are at the lip then pop.

wind up, but don't move your skis really until you pop

like everyone said, pop a lot, spin later on, not while still on the lip, and detune your edges

yeah i have the exact same problem. I just did zero spins for like a whole day, and it kind of helped me. Think of doing a zero spin and once in the air try for the spin. so yeah like everyone said, plus practise and you'll get it.

i dont recomend carving, it can make you spin all wonky, your problem is that your starting to spin too early and your catching your tips, think about popping as late as possible and then worry about the spin
