New Skis

Yeah, another 'new skis thread':)!

Ok, I'm not sure whether to get new skis now, or next season. Basically a lot of shops are starting to discount stuff, which makes me want to buy it!! But next season I'll hopefully be going to the U.S. or Canada to work as an instructor, and I've heard a lot of hills will give their instructors discounts on skis or know a shop that will. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so how much? Any idea whether I'll be able to get the skis I want (ideal would be Sir Francis Bacons and some Race Tigers)?

I'm guessing that this will all depend on which mountain I go to, but I'd just like a general idea.

ya basically, i bought skis at the end of the season last year, and they said taht the price would go up like 200 dollars to make it sound like a deal, but really it never went up...And plus they were smaller than i wanted in the fall...go with buying em in the fall

Haha, The sfbs are the skis I think I want for next season. If however everyone on here said that discount for instructors isn't that much, or only covered certain brands, I would seriously think about getting some new skis now; though I would obviously have to get different skis.

just on a good sale on the skis you want. the discount isnt enough to like blow you mind, so if you see a really good deal, pick it up.

I've just been comparing our (U.K.) sale prices with normal American and Canadian prices and there isn't much difference, so I guess I'll have to wait until next season.
