Some friends and I are going to build a box over the summer and because we are doing it together, money isnt really a problem, so what are some of the best topsheets that you can buy, and if anyone could list anything that would work, that would be great.
i'd say go with HDPE it slides the same and is cheaper, even though you say its not a problem im sure it wont hurt to go with something thats cheaper and works the same.
Also, i found a website that sells HDPE, http://www.mcmaster.com/ and enter product number 8619K424. However, if I am looking into building a box 10 inches wide and atleast 10-12 feet long, what size sheet should I buy. Is it necassary to buy multiple sheets or just buy a few smaller sheets?
how much is puckboard, whats a topsheet that would be cheaper than lexan or hdpe but durabal and slidable? i was hoping to pay like $30 for a 16 ft. long by 2 ft. wide section
for puckboard go to your local hockey rink and ask the manager if they have any old pieces and how much he wants for them...they'd prolly be free if they don't need them for anything anymore
ive heard it slides decent and you could always wax it? hmmm as for the smaller pieces i dont know, maybe melt it together and sand it a little till it's smooth
with a bow you cant use nails you have to have screws that have been counter sunk in to the matirial nails wils losen up evently and youll catch an edge trust me
