well i got my new boots in today. i quickly heat molded them and fixed my bindings and took off to the mountain for a little break in before i head to squaw sunday.
conditions were east coast spring skiing. that means shitty water puddles and thick grabby snow.
boots are super comfortable with some adjustment. not as much as i hoped for but that can be worked on. heel stayed down the whole day and my foot felt secure. i was surprise that this is the case after coming out of a race boot.
boots have an adjustment on the rear for "hard" or "soft" flex. i had it on soft for the first two runs and it would be perfect for a day in the park. i switched it over to hard with the supplied allen wrench and it felt better for just crusing around the hill.
i got my way into the park and hit a few jumps and boxes. solid the whole time in the park. enough foward flex for landings but edge to edge transfer doesn't lag.
i must say that the boots look sick. they are bright WHITE! the gray logos are perfectly placed and the girls on the liner is a added touch by rossi.
overall i say that this is an amazing boot. with a little work on the boot i think it will quickly become my favorite.
