yeah, they bought the machine from Blizzard that makes the Blizzard Sigma series. Also, they are completely trashing this years bindings and starting from scratch. peace

the respect level goes way down for me. line WAS a freestlye/freeride ski company. now their a company like any other. this sucks.

Line is still one of the few companies that is 100% devoted to developing the sport of skiing and the equipment used for it. Hell, if I was female, I'd rather have a woman's ski made by Line than one made by Salomon. What other ski manufacturers focus exclusively on niche skis?

Im sure Salomon Atomic and all those boys are doing that skiing is more than freeskiing. Im sure there pushing racing development to the max.

Rather than being a 100% devoted to the freeskiing/newschool market. Which Line had a leading edge on. In no way im i bashing Line skis, as the Market for newschool is much smaller than most other genre;s of skiing, and have maybe he got a killer deal on a ski press, and decided to make some more cash. The downside unfortuntly is he might lose hardcore customers, because he is no longer practice what he preaches, and the Line ski image to the hardcore user just got a low blow. But hey maybe they will produce a damn fine carving ski. Just my thoughts.

Salomon, Atomic, K2, Volkl, Rossignol, and the other large companies produce more than skis. They do snowboards, in-line skates, tennis rackets, golf equipment, snowboards, and god knows what else.

Line, Armada, and Stockli are the only companies I know of that are 100% ski. Karhu is the only 100% telemark company and Voile is the only BC driven company.

x-country skis the same as telmark? are you just plain stupid or what? only thing they share is a free heel - try looking at a x-country ski sometime - they are usually an inch or 2 wide, and have no edges or anything - plus they are insanely lightweight, but would snap off a 4 foot jump

you are all a bunch of punks. Just because they decided to add another model of ski that doesn't fit what YOU think they should be doing you're not going to buy from that company? That's pretty fucking weak. It's not like you're going to be skiing on it so shut the fuck up. One minute you're complaining about shitty quality, the next you are complaining about them expanding their product line which equals more money which equals more R&D.
