im pretty sure he brought it to a welder, and they worked on it together, OR, his dad had the tools or something.

yeah we got to hit it for about a month or so at the end of last season. Seems really stable, especially when the stands are frozen to the ground. 

I think it cost him around 300 to build, his friends dad was a mechanic or something.

Often welding stores will have classes that you can learn. Myself I learned in school cause I got to a tech school. Then I bought my own welder. (small and cheap) but It still works.
