Something to Convert Normal Video to Digital.

Lately ive been using my parents Sony video camera alot, im not camera expert so i dont know exactly what its called but its just the normal kind with the small tapes...
i was just wondering if there was anything that could convert the stuff that i have on that to digital so i can edit it and stuff.

Ofcourse, but you have to buy a digital video editing software package that comes with a card, Such as Pinnacle~

thanks alot so i went to the pinnacle website and found this

out of those the one i would want would be the 'Pinnacle Studio AV version 8', right?

or if your graphics card doesnt have video in go buy a cheap card with video in probably find one for around 50 and then go pick up some cheap video editing software or get it off kazaa

buy ati - all-in-wonder... any type of it.. Easy to use for beginers, and comes with everying )hence the all-in-one part) couldn't get any easier.
