I'm tired of politics. I really can't take it anymore. Oh, and I no longer believe in America

I can't stand all this political bullshit I'm being forced to deal with in my day to day life and here on newschoolers. It is way too much o handle. I personally don't think that either political party is going to be our salvation at this point. It feels like the people pulling strings behind the scenes will get what they want no matter who is in office. Both parties are week, old, and tired. All anyone does is argue about the same issues over and over and NOTHING has been done to advance or better our society in the past 3 or 4 administrations. Our parents generation has fucked up and all but destroyed the political arena and our society as a whole. Their great aspirations and hippy dreams have turned into the biggest pile of bullshit that has existed in the history of democracy.
The only solution is a legitimate 3rd party with several billion dollars of funding, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon. There needs to be a movement, A REVOLUTION, to say that we aren't going to put up with this bullshit, REGARDLESS OF WHAT PARTY IS IN OFFICE!!!
Some of us need a wake up call-
If you are conservative, the Bush administration has trashed your conservative values by sending hundreds of thousands of troups overseas while the borders of our country are still wide open to anyone who wants to walk in. He has made a fool out of you by increasing government spending several times larger than the Clinton administrion did! IT IS A MOCKERY! IT IS A JOKE!!!
If you are liberal, don't think that ANY CANDIDATE supported by the democrats would save us right now. Do you think John Fucking Kerry would actually turn things around? He is a polical whore! A puppet!- swanging his leanings to the side that makes it easiest for him and gives his party the most support. He has no great dream, no great ambition that we need to get back on track! AND HE WAS THE BEST CANDIDATE THAT YOUR PARTY COULD COME UP WITH!!!
We need two things- A legitimate third party (or even a 3rd and a 4th party) that respect the opinions of voters and offer ambition and guidance- something that we as Amercicans haven't had in a least 2 decades, but realistically more like 4 ot even 6 decades. We have the power to advance society! We have the power to become whatever our greatest dreams hold, but not with the current political system and political leaders. We could redistribute funding from pork barrel and military spending and build the most incredible civilization the world has ever known! We could cure diseases, have the most educated citizens of any society in history BY A LONG SHOT, but we need ambition. Another country builds the worlds tallest building- DOUBLE IT! Lets put a colony on the moon, lets send a man (or a woman) to mars! Then, instead of isolationg ourselves and become arogant, we can choose to include others. We as a collective humanity could turn things around for so many people.
The sad thing is, I don't see any of this happening anytime soon. I feel like the best option for me right now is to give up on society and leave it to rot. I can find happiness living in the mountains away from it all in this country or any other country. There was a dream that was America but that dream is all but dead.

well said. the political discussions will pass on NS though. every week there are a few heated discussions on NS, its a forum. some people dont realise on NS though, that making more threads and trying to prove your point and convert everyone to your view is NOT the way to shut everyone up. sooo, no more threads on politics. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This is sort of out of context, but it has a certain relation with what you just said. The time I lost faith in America was when, about a year ago, I was driving, and heard on the radio a plan the Bush administration had to send the first man on Mars. The total estimate of the project was 112 G.
How... when you have that sort of money to shoot away on Mars... can you completely disregard the blatant and terrible poverty and lack of (or horrible) education that is given in certain regions of your country? I mean... 112 BILLION dollars... for Mars...
There went my faith, for now. It may or may not come back.

Yeah man! spread the word. Are we seriously to believe that this is the best we can do? Is this even close to the best we can do? THIS IS OUR STORY! WE ARE WRITING IT! We can chose to do so much better, but we have to break the norm and rebuild from the bottom up.

A powerful third party would definitely help but you have to remember, America has BY FAR the best political system, no other country even rivals our riches. even most poor people in america have cars and televisons. Many other countries our poor would be considered rich, we have the highest standard of living or if somebody comes to our country and is determined, they can become successful with hard work. America unlike many other countries for the most part does not hold people back just becuase of thier race, beliefs or whatever, success in america is based solely on how badly you want it and are willing to work for it and therefore anyone can become successful. its called the american dream. Yes there are problems in the american government as there are in any other governmnet. But something is being done right since we lead the world in military, economy and social equality.

BAHAHAHAHA, Im sorry I couldnt hear you with uncle Sam's cock in your mouth.
America is a great country, but not that good. I often wondred why there was no third party. But no offense the American political syestem is quite outdated, Australias, Irelands and even Canadas (which seem to have many problems as well.) Are a little ahead in that game.
And yes USA is the most powerful country hands down. But the "riches" I fail to see, many countries have much stronger natural resources. The highest standfard of living, yes well props for that.
The American dream, is a potential but really is just a dream. Many immigrants came to the states and live in poverty.
"since we lead the world in military, economy and social equality."
Dont get me wrong US is a great country and powerful country. Yes obviously the world leader in military, but that could change, economy doest the US have like a trillion dollar debt. Social equality hmm that deffinately debatable Im sure there atleast 10 countries that are atleast as equal as the USA.
All in all a nice country, but not that great.

first of all your mostly agreeing with what i said. secondly the US has more "income" than any other country and therefore i am justified in saying we are the richest as far as money is concerned. Yes we arent as rich as some countries in natural resources but we cant really change that and we do have many natural resources. Immigrants have the best chance for success in the US. Yes some of them dont make it, but they have that chance. Economy is not measured in how much debt we are in, it is measured in private and public business success. The US does have the best economy in the world you can look that up anywhere.

Yeah, I agree with allot of what you had to say, good points. But I honestly think immigrants dont have the best chance for success in the states. I think a country with more resources and a smaller populatiion could offer them a more stable industrial job.
The world is goingto change, and if America wishes to continue to be the world leader they will have to change with it.

I dont know who said it, but it speaks for itself.

I totally disagree, political discussions are important to getting this new generation of voters interested in politics and interested in making a change for the better through their votes and through getting involved in politics perhaps as a career where you really have the power to make change.

It's a forum, they have the right to express their political opinions. They arn't forcing you to click on a thread entitled 'political flame war' so don't click on it.

Yeah man, I agree with every word you just said. Here is my slightly shortened version of what you said: Fuck politics and everything that goes along with them. I used to be interested, I used to follow it and get mad when someone fucked up. I finnaly realized it's all bullshit in this country. Almost 50 percent of our legislature are millionares, which means that the same percentage of the population should be. The old thinking of the people choosing is long gone. The goverenment is now controlled by money and greed. Next election you probably won't see me heading to the voting booth. I live in Montana, and we have 2 electoral votes. Whoever came up with the electoral crockery needs to be shot. The electoral college is just another political scam full of people controlled by money. Yes, I am done caring about politics because I have realized that what I think will never matter nor change a damn thing. I'm moving to Canada.

Don't do it for the politics. We deal with the same bullshit. It's just presented differently.

i printed out what u had to say kevo, its started some heated debates at my friend house. i wish something i did could make this happen, but u know as well as i do theres not much we can do about the political structure of our nation at this point. we have to let time take its course and hope people begin to realize what is going on.

Well then move the hell out of America! Stop your damn complaining which is what every political issue on NS is and move to Mexico! Or anywhere out of this country, I could really care less. Your stupid little political message isn't going to do jack shit on NS so save your breath. The only chance it stands at making an actually difference is getting a dozen teens (which most probably can't even vote, so that tells your what we think about your mental capacity of handling decisions like this anyway) to act like a robots and agreeing with anything that is run across their computer screen.

wow chill dude its his opinion. ANd change has to start somewhere, I dont think he intended on starting a political movement on NS, although an NS political pary would be pritty kick ass. If he doesnt like its his right as an american to say so.And if anything you're the one acting like a robot thinking the syestem is perfect. Im sure its a good one but theres always room for improvement.
And if you want to live like a comminist with no rights then move to North Korea.
