mt. hood summer ski camp has bumps, gates and park. nasc has gates and public park. you could also go to a racing camp at hood, then ditch over to the public park. thats what i did for three years in arow.

you could just ski down making turns where you want instead of being told where to turn...I am pretty sure that makes you a better skier too

and you could jump without jumps too. that gets you good in the park right?

i am sorry that you think that. yes, sometimes i make little or short posts such as this one, but they are just saying my opinnion. yes, ok, i think racers are gay. gay is just a term that i use to relate to people that annoy me. racers think that they own the mountain in my experience. i dont understand why anyone would want to just make turns for hours, it would get very boring. so, i made a post without backing that post up or letting people know why i think that. if you can find any more posts where i have done the same thing, i will be happy to explain my reasoning to you.

ummm, thats a pretty awful argument. Jumping requires jumps...hence the name. Hitting gates is the same thing as skiing normally except you are told where to turn.

wouldn't skiing gates require gates hahahhaa.
and they're tighter than you'd normally turn whcih makes you have to work for your turn and carve to hold speed. you wouldn't get away with doing push turns.

the gates do not enhance your skiing. its not as if you are skiing differently through the gates as you would on a normal trail (except for cross blocking or whatever, but that is just really to get the gate out of the way). You can ski down a normal trail just as if there was a slalom course set up. Or a GS course. You cant, however, get good at jumping just skiing on regular trails as the jumps, contrary to the gates, are used for actual skiing purposes, not just mental reminders of where to turn.

acutally paley is right. if you wanted to pracitce racing, youd want to have gates. it deffinetly helps you to have a course to ski on.

Dave Murray's summer camp program has a racing and park program. Their park was actually half decent last summer and Dave Murrays had a pipe last summer too. They had a nice 35ft table last summer and their rails are crazy fun cause theyre nice and fat for learning on.
