All skis break in at most 2 months, under normal to heavy use. Salomon, dosent have a very good warranty, therefore their skis suck. Line, even though their skis break the fastest, have the best warranty, therefore Line is the 'best' company.

Stop being so quick to say they easily delam. Ive skied mine for a few hard months and had no probs, casin 40 footers (too much) and landing on ice. I think they rock, a little soft but they ski everything well.

2 months wtf are you talking about. Just because you keep breaking all your skis. Don't take it out on the ski companies - lose some weight and stop riding your skis on concrete

Salomon has good ideas, but shitty skis. They don't even use wood cores, they use power foam which mean, if you get base damage right to the core and water gets in, the core basically disolves, happened to my skis. the 1080 boot is awesome, just not the skis

water does the same to wood dumbass

supposedly the 'power foam' is better then wood core. From what i hear, wood core is just easier to produce...

I've got mixed feelings about foam. Sometimes, that lightness in the air is all you really need, and i loved it at first(demoed them). A friend gave me his old cussons, and snapped em pretty badly. Countless ppl have had durability issues with em, but on the upside, i've never seen foam delam.

whoever said salomon has a bad warrenty is clueless. They have an amazing warrenty. no questions asked. First year i had mine i said the breaks got stuck and were broke (salomon bindings + skis = 2 year warrenty) I told them when they popped of and got stuck they would go flying through the trees and get beat up. so what did they do? replaced the skis and bindings no questions asked. a year and a half later (warentey expired) i cracked my edge on a rail. what did they do. gave me a break and gave me a new pair no questions asked. now I know skis have progressed alot. and the new 1080 deffinatly holds its own. its a nice bit better then the old one and i like then new ones better then the scratches. I want to try something new like the troublemaker but with salomons quality and warrenty i will probabaly just end up getting another pair of 1080's

whoever says they delam, you're clueless. I have the orange 181s and since end of november i've been doing f'n ski lessons with them, kids riding over my skis daily, not to mention me working them over in the park and casing off 40 footers and having them go an extra 20 feet past me. those skis are tough man, dont knock them for being weak
