Freeskier- why so cheap?

freeskier is always giving away subscriptions in the ski movies you buy or selling year subscriptions for a couple bucks. i know they make money through advertising, but its almost hard to pay for this magazine- how do they stay in business?

1 page of advertising is worth...well I dont know exactly to tell you the truth. But its alot more than what they get for a few subs.

The print business is a funny place, guys. Each magazine has different methods of making money. Ours, I won't and will never get into. Just know that we're here to provide a top notch mag for ya.

most small magazines try to get a lot of subscribers so when they go to poeple who may wana advertise they can say tht we hav this many subscribers

thats probably about right for a small magazine dist like freskier. however, skiing companies often do not pay full price, trading stuff and other things for advertising.
